Hey there, chicken people!

I’m Kayla, a townie turned crazy chicken lady on an off grid property in Central Alberta, Canada.

I started off with 16 Rhode Island Reds, and I was instantly in love with chicken keeping and my flock has grown exponentially to include Americaunas, Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Welsummers, Silkies, Barred Rocks, Sussex, and barnyard mixes.

I’m a bringer of treats, varied flock lover, and rainbow egg collector. I’m working on all aspects of those things!

I love those rainbow eggs myself! But I haven't achieved much so far since I'm very limited to the number of chickens I can keep in my small backyard.
