Last night something got one of my roosters. There is no sign of what happened. We saw a raccoon in our lilacs bushes later. He is no longer with us. I'm not sure if the raccoon was the culprit. Wouldn't there be some evidence, feathers, blood, etc?

Depends...if he dragged it off then there might not be anything. Very strange though. Make sure you lock down the coop at night, and reinforce the wiring multiple times. Welcome to BYC from New Jersey, by the way!
