I am currently living in central Illinois in a small town. I am going in front of the city council July 9th to try to reverse the no chicken law in town. While i am already facing opposition from the mayor i am determined! Arming myself with facts and applications from larger towns in state that allow backyard flocks. Also considering doing a petition in city limits to show how many voters want this law repealed also. Any advise or tips would be much appreciated. Other than that I am married with one fur baby and a 20 yr old son. I have lots of fond memories of having chickens pigs and a few cows as a child. Was always my job to gather the eggs. I enjoy gardening a lot and am learning how to can foods. I really want to get back to a simpler way of life. Fortunately my husband agrees with me and we are in this all together . Thanks for listening me ramble
