Hello! I’m Andrea and I’m completely new to having chickens. I have 4 chicks arriving at the post office today(ish). I’m building a coop in the yard and have my temporary brooder set up in a spare room for their first 2 weeks (garage after that!). I live in a subdivision, so I’m only allowed a small number of chickens.
I ordered a Buff Brahma, a Lavender Orpington, and two Easter Eggers (a blue & an olive), all from My Pet Chicken. Hopefully they all arrive okay!
I see there’s so much knowledge on this site, so I joined to make sure I can absorb all I can! I live with my spouse, our 2 year old daughter, and two old dogs. We garden like mad here - veg, native plants, and rain gardens. That’s all for me! Happy to be here!

Hello @AndreaA2 from another Michigander! (Michihen?) Congratulations on getting chicks, and let us know that they got to their new home safely. Pictures are always welcome here.
