Good morning all! I've been lurking around for a while trying to learn as much as I can about chickens and this site has been so helpful! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's a little crazy about chickens and want to make "chicken toys"! I took some of the ideas and made them because I have a single older (no idea how old) hen I got 2 weeks ago from a friend who had her for a year and she was getting badly beat up by his 3 other hens to the point she would bleed and her neck and back feathers were being ripped out. She's extremely friendly, will eat out of anyone's hand, very curious and in my business at all times, waits for me to pick her up and carry her around etc. I just couldn't let her be hurt anymore so I offered to take her on very short notice. I don't have a coop (yet) but I made a temporary shelter from my enclosed patio and fencing off part of the side yard. Well I think that's all for now I look forward to posting questions I have and reading more posts from others!
