If the chicks were for Tyson, they are meaties - meant for the dinner table. Meat birds eat like crazy and grow very fast, are usually processed(slaughtered) at 8 weeks of age. Due to their acelerated growth they wouldn't live much longer - their legs give out and organs as well.

I already know. It was my mom who brought them home, not me. But we aren't into killing. There's nothing that I can do.
