I am mother to 8 hens, one rooster and recently got 6 chicks. I love my chickens and in the year and some odd months I've had them, I have become something of a crazy chicken lady.

Welcome to BYC!
A BIG shout out from OHIO!

I have mine, not including incubation period, for a week and am completely 'addicted'! So, I do believe, that I know exactly what you mean!

Great minds think alike, right!

Look forward to seeing you around....

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. We are all chicken crazy here.) I was born in Hot Springs, AR and even after my parents moved away, I used to return and spend every summer and holiday with my grandparents in Hot Springs. I still have relatives in the area and still love it there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have?

Hi :welcome. Glad you joined the flock. Be sure to ask lots of questions every one very friendly and informative. I'm sure you will find many more crazy chicken ladies ( and men) on here. Good luck with your new chicks. :frow

I have 2 white Cochin hens, a blue Cochin rooster, I have a golden buff hen and 5 Rhode Island and New Hampshire red hen mixes. I have recently acquired some white chicks with random black feathers here and there that were bred for Tyson and would have been killed because of these black feathers :0

Some of the earliest chickens I had were Buff Cochins and they were beautiful; not great layers, but great brooders and mothers. I'm glad you were able to rescue the Tyson rejects. Good luck with your flock.
