It’s nice to meet you!

Welcome to BYC. Fellow Islander here.
I've been in the laying hen game for 6 years, or so. I started with 12 straight run chicks from a gentlemen in Nova Scotia and have been buying hatching eggs and on occasion recieved an odd pair from a friend.
I currently have an assortment of hatching eggs in my incubator (Easter Eggers, Barred Rocks, Black Copper Marans, Silkies, Ayam Cemanis, and Speckled Sussex). I'm finding it increasingly hard to find people selling hatching eggs locally. It doesn't help that I'm intersted in some of the more rare breeds...🙄

Hello! Thank you for the welcome 😊 Yes... We noticed it's harder to find hatching eggs too. We are sure enjoying incubating eggs. We seem to be doing good with the ayams and Silkies, but the Easter Eggers are very hit and miss with babies in them. We see this becoming an addictive hobby 😁
