Thank you. I’m worried about the raccoons. I also get possums but they probably only eat eggs. Thanks for the advice.
Given a chance the possums will also eat your birds when they are roosting at night! But a good guard cat will stop them before they ever act. Possums just don't have the reaction speed required to defend themselves from a good barn cat. Regarding raccoons I am sure they do they are evil killers of anything you love. One took my pineapple last year! They knew I loved that thing and nurtured it for two years...........

In the last year my cat has killed three possums, 2-4 rabbits and an uncountable number of rats, just never had to clean up a coon corpse.
