Hello everyone!

i'm an extreme newbie and trying to absorb any and all info that is chicken to try and catch up to speed and give my chickens the best home possible.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Extremely new. I "rescued" 4 baby chicks that were being given away at an Easter egg hunt to children that were attending the party

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4

(3) What breeds do you have? I have no idea! The gentleman having the Egg Hung bought them at a feed store. I have to say, I've never been to a feed store, so I can't even pretend to know what kind of chickens these little babies are.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I ran across this website when researching a quality chicken coop.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I breed canaries and maintain a 93 gallon freshwater, heavily planted fish aquarium.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I'm a stay at home mom and run a household that has 3 kids under the age of 10, 3 dogs, 50 or so fish, 10 canaries... and now 4 chickens!
