hello from Australia

Hi, from Australia. I am new to chicken keeping and have 4 girls, their names are Myrtle, Lula, Esme and Ava. They are either Australorp/New Hampshire or Rhode Island red/New hampshire. (So the breeder said) They were 10 weeks old when we got them and are now 22 weeks old. I have some questions which I will post elsewhere but just wanted to say Hi. I have 4 grown children, and live with the youngest son who is 21. I am from New Zealand but have been in Australia for 28 years. I have put the girls into a fenced area that was built for a pool and am using the pool shed as their sleeping quarters. I am not happy with it as there is not much ventilation in summer. So far it has been ok. Well, Hello to all and am looking forward to reading your posts.
