Not sure how to post a pic
You did! It's adorable and looks happy. :jumpy

So many people think it's impossible to raise one chick, probably because for the first couple of days the peeping drives everyone nuts and pity for it being alone. We've done it twice though and it wasn't so difficult.

A couple of things we do for the orphan's first few nights is leave the TV running 24/7 on anything. (I have macaw parrots who prefer cartoons on PBS ☺️). That way it gets used to noise. I have a hot water bottle, but before that used large water bottles, fill with hot water, wrap it in a towel, and lay it in the brooder. They have liked to cuddle up to it. Other things I've heard of but never tried are a mirror or stuffed animal. Those water bottles, the TV, and lots of human intervention were key for us. After a couple of days, it was always happy and the few times it would cry, I would just talk to it and it quieted down. The only other suggestion is if you could safely put your "brooder" up higher on a table or something so you aren't hovering over it so much when you go to pick it up.

Good luck. If you have any questions along the way, BYC is the right place to find the answers! It sure is a cutie! 🥰
