Nice movie. I was really looking closely at your barred rocks. They might be crosses because unless I'm just not seeing the video very good from the distance it was filmed it looks as if the barred rocks have small top hats and feathered feet. If they have booted feet and top head feathers they are a cross. They look to be part barred cochins.
 
The Barred Rocks do have feathered feet and Some top feathers. As they get older we will see who they really are. The black Austrolorps were a surprise as I thought they were all Barred Rocks.

Yes! Here is one of my Plymouth Barred Rocks. They 14 weeks old. I have three of them. All pullets. They are very friendly girls and a little on the plump side, LOL They are known to be duel purpose egg/meat birds.

Don't think I can eat a bird that I gave a name to. Mine are eggers. Besides I never got over the lesson on chopping off chicken heads when I was eight years old. Grandpa thought I needed to be a farm girl. :)

Haha, I plan on having them around for a long time! They have not started to lay yet. Most pure breed chickens start laying later than the sex-linked crosses. I named the three rocks Dorothy, Blanche and Sophia! No way could I eat anything I've named either.

hey, I see you are after the Hedemora chicks! I was thinking of going after them myself but maybe I'll just let you have them and I'll buy my chicks from you in the spring!
