After a hiatus of nearly 25 years, I'm getting back into raising backyard chickens. My main goal other than the eggs and meat, is to teach my kids about raising livestock.

Howdy neighbor . I know where Murfreesboro Tn. is . I been there . You have chickens now ? I shouldn't say this but we live in the same county . So whatever you heard about me I didn't do it . I was on vacation . Or at work . Nice to have someone close to home though . Quiet a few middle Tennessee members here . We're spread out though . Check out the Middle Tennessee thread . Got any questions just ask . We can make up all kinds of answers .

Luckily they come with a decent size coop, which will give me time to build a permanent coop, with rain water catchment system.
