Heh heh - I’m hoping I’m just about at a point where I can sit back and wait for eggs. The last few months have been a bit of a roller coaster ride.
 
Welcome to BYC. I'm glad you had a good experience with the person you bought your chickens from, and got replacements for the cockerels. Doesn't happen too often, unfortunately. The pictures are beautiful-- I especially like the Orpington. Her coloring is unusual. I hope you enjoy the website and find it useful.

Yes, The goddess Athena is rather smashing isn’t she? I was told she’s a blue and that her body colour will lighten with successive molts. I guess we’ll see!

I think she's a chocolate or chocolate blue, which are both more rare. She's lovely in any case.
