I don't currently have any chickens, but am hoping to get some this spring. I'm interested in breeds like BCMs (blue or black), Ameraucanas, Araucanas, Wyandottes, d'Uccles, Sussex, EEs and the mixed Olive Eggers (love the looks of the barred ones!
). There's a few more that interest me as well. I'm limited to getting only 4 or 5 and there's so many to choose from, that it's hard narrowing the breeds I'd like down, lol! I've researched some breeder/home ran hatcheries within decent driving distance or that I can order from, so we'll see.
My family kept Rhode Island Reds and Cornish Rocks when I was young, but I'm interested in learning as much as I can. I've read just about everything I could get my hands on and have poured over many sites about chickens and chicken breeds for over a year now.
