Hi,
We've got 3 chickens in our garden. One Sussex/Silky cross, one copper black Maran, and one cherry Maran. They live in an ark, but we let them wander freely around the garden all day. Well freely apart from the patio and the vegetable patch in summer.
One thing I'm not so good at is remembering to shut them up at night. They put themselves to bed when it gets dark, but I have to remember to close their door. So I recently developped an app for my Android phone that reminds me to close their ark door at sunset. I've published it so anyone can use it (its free). Its called "Sunset Reminder".
