Hello from Boise! Building a coop and have seven chicks in my guest bedroom!

Coop is almost done but now I am worried about raccoons. I read they can rip through chicken wire! If I add the architectural wire on the bottom 24" would that be enough? What is the best way to protect against them? I know they live in my neighborhood as I have seen them a number of times. Luckily the coop is outside my bedroom window and I can drop a couple of my Rat Terriers out in a pinch ; ).

Hardware cloth is the best raccoon deterrent.
