Just thought I'd take the suggest to introduce ourselves ...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No, we're new to Idaho but are from Alaska. We kept several layers and raised 25 meat birds a year up there.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4 new chicks - about a week old
(3) What breeds do you have?
Brown Beauty, Cinnamon Queen, Red Sexlink, and Black Sexlink
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are both pets and providers
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Boat design (glacierboats.com), hiking, fishing and hunting
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Husband, spouse, 2 English yellow labs, and now, 4 chicks
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
