Hello everyone, I am a fledgling chicken rancher after acquiring a 1+ acre property in the PNW. It has always been a dream of mine to have space for a significant flock of chickens as well as a kitchen garden, compost, etc. I'm a big fan of self sufficiency, ethical farming, hunting & fishing, and the outdoors in general.
I'm new to this lifestyle but have been adjusting well over the last year. Every time I search up a question about my chickens I always end up on this site so I figured I'd sign up so I can ask questions of my own or share what little knowledge I've acquired so far on my journey in back yard chickens.
My username is deceiving, as I neither have ducks or a real "ranch" by any means.
