Hi everyone --
Our local government here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, just approved a bylaw change to allow 4 backyard hens, after some sort of mandatory certification course (details to follow) and a mandatory coop inspection (details to follow) and taking effect 1 January 2022.
So of course I wanted to get a head-start! Lots of interesting info all over the place.
I'm currently on-the-fence about attempting to overwinter some chickens, but lots of time to mull that over.
Currently engaged in scrounging up old sheds and lumber of all sorts.
Cheers,
Roger
