Hi- Never in my life would I think I could have chickens in my backyard! Well I am a proud owner of my first Leghorn and Red Sex Link! They are 16 weeks old and the anticipation of their first eggs are killing me! I think I'm more obsessed with these chickens than any of my other pets. Lol

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. All of here at BYC have OCD (Obsessive Chicken Disorder), and very few of us are immune to "chicken math." :eek:) White Leghorns and Red Sex Links are laying machines. You should get loads of eggs from those two girls. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting those first eggs.

@backyardahens welcome to BYC!

Both red sex links and longhorns are awesome layers so you'll have lots of eggs soon. Thank you for sharing a photo of your girls.

Feel free to ask questions if you need anything, there are a lot of helpful, knowledgeable members here.

Nice to have you here!
