Our friends have had backyard chickens for about a year now, and I finally gave in to my kids in August. We have two lovely 3-month old cochins. We live in the city and have an enclosed garden in the middle of our house, which they love-completely safe from predators. Just got a coop and they're getting used to balancing on the roost. We've gotten so much valuable information from this website, and I no longer feel silly for loving our silky soft fluffballs!
