Hello from California!

My three chicks are 7 weeks old now. They are still living inside as I only have half a coop so far! I have a buff orphington, a black silkie and an americauna. This is my first attempt at raising chickens and so far it has been a really great experience. I am grateful for this website too!

I'm a newbie at this myself and was frantically building a coop to get them out of my basement.

They seem to love it outside.

I love the sight as well. Also a newbie. I have 12 hens only, no rooster, because we live in town. The chicken feed store says there is no better place for information!
