I only just noticed this place to introduce myself so here goes:
I have been out of the poultry game since '97 or so... but during the 90's I had an unbeatable, at least on the New England fair circut, Blue Slate turkey Tom that started out as a rescue. "Sterling" was grand champion at every fair I entered for three years running. And boy was it fun! The bird that was covered with mud and ice, w/ no shelter (IN NEW HAMPSHIRE!), and who was just 8 pounds when I got him, was now beating everything the jerk I got him from entered! I soon was dating someone who also was into birds, and together we had over 500+ at one point! Far too many in MHO... this time around it will just be Salmon Faverolles, white Sabastapol geese (if I can find a nice pair), and runner ducks. So folks that show within driving distance of the Cape, that have these and show them, feel free to PM me if you have any started birds for sale... and then watch for me at the shows
My other interests include: Organic gardening, Cooking and Baking, Live planted Aquarium keeping- I install them in peoples homes and offices, Karaoke (yes I can and do sing!), sketching and sculpting, my goof-ball Doberman Dargo, keeping my family healthy and my husband, sorry fellas I am happily married to a great guy, in top shape for Mountain Bike racing on the route 66 circut. I am also Mama hen to two chicks of my own, sons Dartanian- age 13 until June 20th, and Nathaniel- age 21 until November 5th.
