HI!

I'm John, from Centerville, OH, just on the south side of Dayton. I have considered raising chickens for eggs, meat and pets for a while now. But, I really got interested when I went to TSC looking for planting supplies and saw they had chicks and ducklings for sale. The bad thing is, I also wanted to raise rabbits AND start a square foot garden. . . . all in the same year, lol. And to add to things, we plan on moving or building a new house, if the money is available to do it. So, all of these projects are being designed to be moved in the future, either in a manageable size to be lifted or roll on wheels and put in the bed of my truck or on a trailer.

So, I hope to learn all I can and will post as much as I can when I really get into everything.

hi john Chickens can move pretty easily. Hubby & I brought 1 hen from Virginia beach over here no problems! She continued laying eggs even during our 2 days traveling in the truck. We now have a 4'x4' copp made from 3/" outdoor grade plywood. It's a great coop.Knock on wood; the racoons don't get inside this coop! My 3 hens & 1 rooster feel safe & secure.
