Hi everyone:
I have been hanging out here for a few days now. On saturday I went to the feed store and ordered my 8 chicks. I also just got the plans for my new chicken coop. I am so excited. My husband use to raise chickens for a living but now he farms Almonds. We live on a small farm in Central CA. We have Horses, sheep, geese, dogs, cats. Growing up my grandpa had chickens and it was always nice to have fresh eggs. So the other day I was taking to my husband and he said yeah... go for it. But I also told him this is my project (he wanted to give me his .02 worth) He was in a bad car accident on Jan 20 and is off work for a while and I am also to take care of him. but there are days I need a project to get my mind off of things and I thought building a chicken coop and raising the little fur balls would be fun. So the Birds will be here around April 25 so this give me time to build a super cute coop.
