(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes. Though I've wanted a flock for years, my dreams didn't come to fruition until middle of March of 2023
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
2 hens, 1 rooster, 1 cockerel (sp?) and 16 pullets (also sp?)
(3) What breeds do you have?
Certain: black copper maran, rhode island red, delaware, ancona, black minorca, and bielefelder. I am uncertain on a few of my gray/blue breeds, as well as whether or not I have white rocks
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs are the priority, but they're just hilarious to watch, except when Captain America (my black copper maran roo) tries to attack me
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Disc golf and college football (watching, not playing)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Family of 6, have 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 pigs and 2 fish. My "regular" job is vice principal at a middle school
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google, um, 6 months, and because I'm addicted to learning more about keeping my flock happy
