Hello from a Harley riding grandmother that is trying to make her home into a self sufficient plot of heaven. I am a born and raised city gal who has never met a chicken in her 64 years other than a grocery store. Now I can hear the sighs and rolling eyeballs. But bear with me. I am determined to take my country one and 1/2 acres to a new level of life with me new hobbies of natural medicine, diy cleaning supplies, and bath products. I love to cook by scratch and have a hubby of 42 years that is supportive of my dreams. The herb and vegetable gardens are doing nicely and will combine these with the chickens. We have 143 mature trees and a variety of fruit trees planted. Yeah, I probably need a reality check but my cats and I are lonely for some new friends.
