One of my coworkers has chickens and I have been visiting her house a lot recently and she is going to order more... She easily talked me into getting a few Easter Eggers of my own! They are due to be hatched on Leap Day (one of my favorite days!!). I've really enjoyed this site, learning about everyone's chickens. I did some looking at some tractors and found one I liked, we are just about done with it! It will be a bit before my girls move in but I seriously can't wait to get them! Just under a week now!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! How exciting for you to be waiting on your new chicks!! I'm sure you will enjoy them very much, they are lots of fun to raise and very rewarding too. It's great as you watch them grow and develop their own personalities and ways.

Wishing you the very best of luck with your new chicken adventure. Be sure to ask any questions that you have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC :frow

We could possibly keep it stationary sometime in the future but for now it's really quite big and heavy. I don't have wheels yet because I'm trying to figure out a good way to install them without the run being raised. Still investigating :) As for now it's pick up and move only, and not alone lol

Thanks everyone! My girls are still inside but this is the most fascinating thing ever! If I could figure out how to post a video (might try tonight) we were having "free time" (when I lay down a blanket and they roam the bathroom and "play") and I got some cute slow motion video's of a few of them taking off! Hard to believe 8 day old chicks are that advanced!
