Hello, from central west coast Florida

Thanks EVERYONE for the wonderful welcomes.

I should have jumped on this network when I first got my hatchlings. Hope to develop some get networking pals.

@Jadnils. I'm in Dunedin FL. Right on the coast 3 miles north of Clearwater.

Hello,

I have three hens. A buff orpington, an Americana and a RI red.

They are all around 12 weeks old and I think that my Americana is a rooster.

Living in the "burbs", We are not able to have roos so she/he will be going back to the breeder to get the right sex. I'm going to hang on to her/him for a couple more days just to be sure. He only crowed once and I'm sure that is enough to tell but I want to make sure.

It's too bad. I'm growing quite fond of all my chicks.

How about you? What kind do you have? How many?

C.C.

I have 4 , I think that's all we can handle here. If i had more property I'd surely have a few goats and pigs too... I have 2 chicks that are 6-7 weeks old, one is a "mutt" ( Lucy) and the other ( Zoey) is a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. Then I just got 2 4 day old chicks, one is a BLRW and the other is a Mille Fleur Bantam Cochin and they are too cute ! Cant think of named for them yet.
My next chore is to build the coop, going with PVC !
