Hello from China

thanks for the thorough reply! chicken feed from taobao, of course! 2rmb/kilo is cheaper than any of the grains i'm buying them right now.... definitely worth looking into.

those pictures of your dog with the chickees are super adorable!!! did you cover your guzheng with an american flag?! or some other stripey thing? anyway, looks like your birdies are doing well. keep the posts coming! i should post a few pics of my china chicken setup.
We can buy what you want and have the company ship it to you then you can wire us the money, or just give you the shop info. (by we I mean my wife who does the shopping and has the negotiation skills) The chick feed is 3rmb per pound (1 jin is almost a pound) so I was a little off on the prices. We can look for cheaper feed too.

If you want us to buy for you just PM your address.

Yes that is an American flag on the Guzheng, set it up for the 4th and wanted to keep it somewhere. Didn’t realize it looks like a casket cover on the instrument until after I uploaded the pics. ...
Oh well it’s still a cute photo. 2-2 or
土土 (dirt-dirt) as we call him is a really good dog. We call him that because when we found him trying to cross the highway at about 1 week old he was absolutely covered in dirt.

Here's an update,
We're having so much fun with out Hodan pair that we decided to add 4 more.
We took a trip to the hatchery and it was nice to get out. When we were looking at the chicks in the hatchery there were some really cute random breeds mixed in. So my wife and I added 10 to our flock.
We also got two guniea foul of some kind, plus a couple "Black Phoenix" and 2 more of the rare grey version of them.
Talk about lucky, about 1 of 100 or more eggs has the grey variety.

A picture of them arriving at home:

They had a good couple hour ride in the trunk and were happy to realax out of traffic and all those mean honking Taxis.
