Hello from Cincinnati

I'm brand new to raising chickens. My kids and I are in the planning phase right now. We're almost ready to create the coop and run. I'm hoping to start with just 2-3 chicks, though I'm having trouble finding where to buy such a small number!

I love the idea of caring for the birds and watching them grow, and we're all excited about fresh eggs. I've heard chickens can be rather fascinating to watch, so I really think they'll be a fun addition to our family.

Welcome! Glad you decided to join us I would consider getting at least 3..... chickens are flock animals You can also check in on your states forum, maybe someone there knows a source where you can get chickens locally.

3 hour drive from Cincinnati to Polk. (Yes, I looked it up. ) I'd do it but I'm a chicken wacko!
