I am helping my sister find a safe refuge for her hen, as she is moving and the new place is not conducive to raising her. I presume the members of this board provide a non-violent, cruelty-free home for chickens; i.e. raise them for the eggs in exchange for a safe habitat--meaning you dont viciously end their lives!?.. So, I am looking for someone to provide these moral conditions in/around the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I've heard about an animal sanctuary in North TX but it looks 1.5-2 hrs away.
My sister is in Dallas and we need to find a new coop/home asap;) thx for reading and the potential help. G0d bless.. Matthew

! Happy you joined us! There are chicken keepers of all stripes on BYC - those that keep chickens for pets, chickens are eggs, and chicken for meat. We respect our member's reasons for raising chickens and do not view those who raise meat chickens as "viciously ending their lives." You might try posting in one of these threads for a home that meets your conditions. Good luck to you!
