It is so great to hear that you are wanting to know more about chicken care before starting your own flock. You could not have picked a better place, in my opinion, to learn and grow in your knowledge of poultry. There are so many article and coop plans and great posts here to help you get started. And don't worry, whenever you decide to get your new flock, there's alot of help to be found here in case you ever have a health or care question. Do you have any breeds in mind?
My tip is to really do your homework on predator prevention- invest in a game camera to keep an eye on your flock and see what critters may be coming around.
