Hello from Des Moines~

Hi there! We live in the city, and my younger daughter really wanted a chicken as a pet. We figured since they were social creatures, we ought to have at least two, so we've got two young Red Stars, which have joined our menagerie of a dog, a cat, and a rabbit.

I am having a blast with them -- Ahuva is the curious, bold, and brash one, and Killer is our more quiet, more reserved hen.

I've found some answers here as we've raised the chicks, but now I have a question to ask, and since you all seemed like such a nice bunch of people, I thought I'd join up and register.

Now, I'm off to post my egg laying question in the right thread!
