Went to a Chicken Chat at Thiesens and learned a lot of good info, also reinforced what I already had learned. It was sponsored by Nutrena and they gave $5 dollar off coupons for food and I received a free bag of feed coupon from them also!

I forgot that was going on today. I grabbed a bunch of coupons and won a bag of oyster shell last year.

So one of my ISA browns is getting pasty butt frequently. The same chick and Im cleaning her bum throughly with warm water and a soft rag, gently wiping of the dried stuff and making sure the vent is clear. She is the only one out of the 11 that still deal with it. The last time i cleaned her i did put vaseline on her rear to see if that helps

My chicks are two weeks old today and doing well!!

Some more chick pictures. They are getting big already compared to whwn I brought them home.

Went and picked up some chick grit for them this morning and gave it to them. They took to it right away.

Three weeks old today! Gave them lettuce yesterday and celery trimmings this morning they loved it. Need to get them outside a little bit in the next week to get the acclimated to the outdoors but the weather has been absolutely bi polar this week.
