Bummed out tonight. The hellacious ice storm we had Wednesday caused a small corner of the nest box to fall off. Then two of my girls got out. I caught one, got her back in the coop and temporarily fixed the hole. Sadly I lost the other one after 2 hours of looking, sliding on ice, and falling. I can only hope she will come home later and that no predator gets her tonight. I'm super bummed.

Watch where she goes to roost then wait until it is fully dark, don a head lamp to keep your hands free then go get her.
