(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I got 4 chickens a little more than a week ago on Sept 25.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 2 chickens. There was a coyote attack yesterday morning and, though I managed to scare them away, 2 of the 4 were missing.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Golden Laced Wyandotte and Buff Orpington
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
So far they are pretty easy to care for.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Salsa dancing.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a scientist, a boy-mom and a Canadian from the East Coast.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've been doing a lot of googling on chicken feed, runs, how to protect chickens from predators, etc.
