Thanks all! Guess I should give a lil more info on my mixed flock. I have 3 white leghorns, 3 gold comets, 10 barred rocks, a boxer, and a sweet lil boston terrier housedog. Right now all my chicks are under a month old and are in a brooder in my home! Not going to lie though, can't wait until their coop is up and they are happily settled in their new home!

Welcome From Rural New York .. They can get Messy and pretty loud can't they ! I think I Hardly can hear them except funny if I think I hear a distress call .. On My way in just a couple minutes to clean up again ; ) I Hope you will enjoy this site as much as I do

So far, and yes I am knocking on wood, they are all generally quiet! With the exception of 1 barred rock, who tries his best to crow, at least I think! The smell is my biggest issue. They are currently in our den off the back side of the house, the boys play room lol. Even though I clean their brooder twice daily there is always that chicky poo smell!
