Hello! I'm also from East Texas and am brand new to the chicken keeping!

I just culled my extra roosters day before as they were about to reach maturity so I'm now down to 6 Naked Neck Hens, 1 Cream Legbar Hen 1 Easter Egger Rooster and 1 Naked Neck Rooster.

The learning curve isn't as bad as I was expecting and so far it's been pretty fun. I hope your chicken adventure is going well too!
