Hey guys thanks for having me. I am new to chickens and am glad to have found this forum. I traded for some pullets this spring. 3 RIR's and 3 golden comets.
Turns out 2 of the RIR pullets were actually roosters.
Then I went and bought 6 more pullets. 2 gold wyandottes, 2 silver wyandottes, and 2 barred rocks.
Possums killed 2 pullets so now I have 8 pullets and 2 roosters.
Im sure I will have loads of questions for you guys with experience with chickens.

Raccoons can easily grab a chicken through the chain link, they will bite off any body parts they can reach. You need a smaller, thicker wire like 1/2" hardware cloth to back the chain link - run from ground up to 18-14" high to provide more secure fencing.

Please check out the predator threads for more advice, please.
