Tally ho chicken friends across the big pond,

Once again thanks for the replies, I am now finding this site quite addictive! As a farmers wife its true I don't get out much or see many people, thank goodness for BYC and its many other "addicts" I shall as requested post some pictures of my "girls" however must wait for 12 year old son to help me with the "technical" side of things in relation to the computer and how to make sure the pixel size is correct for the upload.......... flippin eck love all this technology stuff but feeling a little like a dinosaur when it comes to the harder stuff like pixels!!! Some of my girls have a big week ahead as the "hatch" is due at the week-end, am getting quite excited, they are sitting on some very rare breeds so everyone say a prayer that we have a successful hatch. I will keep you all informed. Its true that England is a very beautiful country, especially at this time of year, everything is soooo green (then again we do get plenty of rain!) My garden is looking really nice and the roses smell divine, the grapes have just set on the vines, and the vegetable patch has been raided by my pet lamb Sophie, my three other lambs known as the "Commando's" have now been put into the field much to their disgust as I now have to wean them off the bottle (handreared).......life is good.....off to the greenhouse to water the tomatoes and plants.......have a good day everyone, stay in touch.........

I am waiting for the hatch of Lemon Mille Fluer Sablepoot Bantams, Old English Pheasant Fowl, Silver Lacewing Wyandottes, Vorwerk, Lakenvelder, and White Crested Polands, Golden Appenzellar, recently had a successful hatch of Guinea Fowl 2 white 2 pied and one pearl grey all coming along nicely........although the guinea fowl keets will be going up for sale, must not get too attached.....promised my husband.....oh dear I love them but they are noisy birds and I dont think he will be very happy as my other G/fowl make so much noise but they are great "Guard Dogs" as they sound off if anyone approaches the property, then there is the noise from the peacock who I adore...so yes must get them sold.....then hatch some more! Have a good day.

Morning Hoosier,

My pleasure, I will post some pics asap of my currrent girls as well, keep telling myself to take the camera outside, then something else needs doing you know how it is. But I will have lots of time next week as school closes this Friday for the summer holidays (no lie in bed though) so I am looking forward to spending more time outside........all I seem to do lately is mow the lawns! The get down to making some small chicken tractors/arks to house the hatch when they are ready to go outside. They are (fingers crossed) going to be my breeding stock for next year, but have to now find unrelated roosters to keep the blood lines pure. Hatch is due this week-end so am getting really excited......
