I have one Ideal order out in my coop and another coming next week.

Don't worry about your hubby. If he's anything like mine, he puts on a tough "I don't care" front, but after spending just a little time around the chooks, he's as hooked as the rest of the family. Bet yours will be the same.

Chickens and other poultry are awesome, and there really are alot of sources available here in CA....
And you are in Fresno - home of one of the Greatest Poultry shows also! Wow, I wish I could go...they are going to have the Marans egg show there this year...and the raffle and contest...oh I wish.....

echlfan you have Belt hatchery right there in Fresno, I don't know if you can pick up there or not, but most of the feed stores around order from Belt. and yeah, ,my husband is not crazy about the chickens either, but he drove me Hanford about an hour and a half one way, to pick up two 3 month old pullets, so he likes them better than he says!

I was going to order from there. But when i went to the feed store that orders from them, they had a bunch that had been dying from them. So I decided to go ahead & order elsewhere.
