I've been a lurker here for the last few months and, as of yesterday, am the proud "mama hen" to 6 of the most adorable little fuzz butts on the planet. I live in Fresno, CA and have been a longtime gardener, so I'm so happy to finally be adding chickens to the mix! I look forward to getting to know some of you and to learning from your experience! At the moment "the girls" are living large in a deep plastic kiddie pool (pink, of course) and today learned about the joys of worms! I'm still working on getting the coop finished (wanted to build the chicklets an outdoor portable pen first). Can't wait to see what life with chickens has to offer!
