Hey y'all! We are a family of five (3 girls!) in southeast Georgia and decided to raise our own chickens this year. We have 10 chickens that we were told were Ameraucana. I'm not really sure if they are or not. If anyone could help me figure out how to tell that would be great. We also have two Polish chickens. We are still new to this so we have a ton of questions. We ended up with 4 roosters out of the bunch. We are very excited to have gotten our first two eggs today! They are an orangey pink color. The kids are loving the chickens and I have so much fun with them. One of our hens is THE funniest chicken. She runs up to us every time we walk out the back door. She will even jump in our laps if we are sitting down. We hope to get to meet other chicken lovers and learn what we can about raising chickens! Thanks everyone!
