Believe it or not, my name actually IS Magenta
This is my first time ever raising chickens. I got 6 little chicks 2 days ago from our local feed store.
I got 4 pullets (2 are yellow and 2 are brown)
and I got 2 bantams (one is a very light gray, and one is broun with a soild black stripe down it's back)
I have no idea if they are male or female, I guess I will have fun trying to figure it out.
My husband and I started building their coop last night, and have it framed out. I figured in the 4 or so weeks they will be in their brooding box, we can get the coop finished.
So far I have only had one little chick with a case of pasty butt, but we got her cleaned up and she seems happy.
