Hello from Grant County, Indiana!

A little about me! I am a new chicken mom, although my husband has had feathered friends before. I was unaware of the love and joy these babies would bring! Nothing better than my chick babies! As of right now, we have a decent flock of 12 chickens (10 hens, 2 cockerels), and 2 ducks (1 male, 1 female). I am looking forward to reading and learning more here on BYC, and connecting with chickens lovers just like my family and me!

I have 12 chicks,sex unknown as of yet and 2 ducks who are 2 years old.That definitely are family.You will laugh, cry and worry just like a mom.

Sounds like you have a nice flock of lovely birds! What breeds are they? I only have five hens. Three buff orpingtons, an easter egger and a specked sussex. Can't have roosters where I live but if we could, I'd definitely have one or two.
