I have a couple female muscovies I could be convinced to sell but I am in Hanford, Central California. It looks like Kern County is around Bakersfield. That is about 2 hours from me. You might check in the Sale section of the forum. Good luck with your search!

I talked to my daughter and I think I would rather part with the male and one of the girls (she likes the male since he is pretty friendly), so it would be a pair. I don't have any pics right now, but can send you a few when I take them. Might be a few days since I work full time and we should be busy this weekend....The male has babies on the ground already so we know he is productive. The girls all laid eggs in the same nest so not sure which mama had the babies that hatched.... We are asking $40 for the pair.
 
Thank you for your reply. My impatience drove me to Fresno on Sunday (Easter Sunday (-_-)) to pick some yearlings up. I'd still love to see pictures of yours. $40 is a great price. I just wish I had better self control (I bet my hatch rates would be much higher if I did....next week is lock down on some Sebastopol eggs and I have to keep my hands of my incubator for three whole days!!) thanks again! If possible, could you txt or email a picture of them? What color are they?
 








The first 2 pics are the male and the next 2 are the female. They are black and white. DD says that she likes how friendly the male is. He was the sweetest from the babies last year.
 
hi we are moving to lemoore hand ford area, from san diego. we have some buff orphlingtons and silkies. ] are there any areas you could recommend we start looking for a house where keeping yards bird is pretty normal?
 
Welcome! Anything zoned R2 or near the edges of the cities are usually pretty lenient when it comes to poultry. Some folks keep a few in their city backyards, but I don't believe they are allowed in Hanford city limits. Not sure about Lemoore....
