Hello, welcome to BYC! I'm so sorry for your loss. It's such a hard thing!

I'm new to keeping chickens, and experiencing the losses is hard. I didn't know reproductive issues and cancer is common in some chickens. I have lots to learn about them.

For me, it never gets easier to lose them, the loss still hits hard. You will learn as you go, and the birds themselves will teach you a lot, keep observing them.
